Bye bye Mac OS

I really tried, but Mac OS X and a Mac Mini are not satisfying for my home's IT requirements. Mac OS X lacks some crucial power user features, as does every typical Mac OS based application. They all work, but they stop too early concering features, configurability, usefulness.
Besides, all the Unix stuff is way too old. This includes X11, NFS, Samba, VNC, ssh, rsync, ..., everything (except Apache perhaps).

So my Mac Mini runs under Ubuntu 7.04 feisty now ;-))

Due to Linux DVB not supporting my FireWire based Elgato EyeTV 610 DVB-C card, I switched my Mac Mini at home with my silent office PC home, and I think I'm happy.
